The shores and seas around Skye abound with marine life, whilst the land supports sheep grazed on sweet heather, wild venison and the renowned highland cattle. The finest and freshest produce is readily available and is transformed at the Stein Inn into mouth-watering, home-cooked dishes.
Diners can take advantage of eating in the non-smoking dining room, or eat in the bar. Whether choosing a bar snack, light lunch or a full three-course evening meal, the emphasis is on good, wholesome food at affordable prices.
All meals are freshly prepared to order with a menu that changes daily in accordance with the season's availability. We believe in using the freshest of local produce Skye and Lochalsh has to offer, when available, and in regard to this we have been highly commended by Taste of Skye and Lochalsh, a local food link group, for the last two years. There is also a lunchtime menu available in the bar featuring; Scottish Ploughman's often including Achmore cheeses, Local Fresh Crab Sandwiches, Toasties (including the 'legendary' Haggis Toastie), and two types of Smoked Salmon Platters, as well as other fresh 'dailies'.

Meals are available all year round, but it is advisable to check availability in winter months, as some holidays and maintenance work may affect times. Please note, shellfish and seafood may not be available in the winter depending on variables such as weather and supplies.
